Why two heater jobs aren't always the same

Part type
An element in a good tube costs less than a complete flow-through heater assembly.
Incoloy vs Titanium
Salt systems take a Titanium element — a bit more upfront, far longer life in Florida water.
Pump horsepower
A 1–2 HP jet pump is priced below a 2.5–4 HP. Circ pumps are their own line.
Proprietary systems
Sundance/Jacuzzi and Watkins No-Fault heaters use proprietary parts priced separately.
