The import-era pump — and a smart universal swap
LX (made by Guangdong Lingxiao) builds the WUA and related pump series that now ship as original equipment in a huge share of big-box and imported spas — the kind sold by Lifesmart, AquaRest, Essential and similar value brands. If your tub came from a warehouse club or online retailer in the last several years, the pump is very often an LX.
LX has also become the go-to aftermarket replacement across the whole industry. Because the WUA line is built to common spa frame, voltage and union standards, an LX pump will cleanly replace a tired Waterway, Aqua-Flo or Vico in most tubs — at a noticeably lower parts cost. When you want the jets back without an OEM premium, LX is usually the value pick.
Like any spa pump, an LX fails at the wet end (shaft seal, impeller, o-rings) or the motor (capacitor, bearings, windings). We confirm which at the diagnostic, then either rebuild the wet end or fit a correctly sized LX — and because we stock the common WUA configurations, most LX jobs finish the same day across Palm Beach County.
The faults we see most
Leaking shaft seal
Water weeps from the wet end onto the motor — common as the seal ages out.
Hums but won't spin
A failed run capacitor or a seized bearing stops the WUA motor turning over.
Worn bearings
A grinding or screeching motor signals failing bearings and a wet end soon to follow.
Best-value replacement
When an OEM pump dies, an LX swap restores flow at a lower parts cost.
Wet end, motor, or a complete LX pump
If the motor is healthy and the pump just leaks, we rebuild the wet end with a fresh seal, o-rings and impeller. If the motor has failed, we replace the capacitor or the motor. If the whole pump is done — or you're replacing a worn OEM pump on a budget — a complete LX pump sized to your tub is the cost-effective answer.
We match horsepower, voltage, frame and union layout so the LX drops in and your jets or circulation return to spec, with no improvised plumbing.
Seal repair or pump replacement
We rebuild the wet end when the motor's good, or fit a new LX when it isn't. Confirmed at your $69 diagnostic, credited to the repair.
