The pump that's in half the spas out there
Waterway Plastics is one of the most widely used pump makers in the spa industry, so there's a good chance the pump under your tub wears their badge. Their Executive, Hi-Flo and Genesis jet pumps drive the jets in everything from value tubs to premium brands, and their Iron Might and Tiny Might low-flow pumps quietly circulate water past the heater 24/7.
Because Waterway bolts a standard 48- or 56-frame motor to a molded wet end, two things tend to fail independently: the wet end (the shaft seal, impeller and volute that move water) or the motor (capacitor, bearings or windings). Knowing which one failed is the difference between a seal repair and a full pump replacement — and it's exactly what the diagnostic settles.
Waterway's universal sizing is good news for you: because the housings and unions are so standardized, we stock the common Executive and Hi-Flo configurations and finish most Waterway jobs the same day across Palm Beach County.
The faults we see most
Leaking shaft seal
Water weeps from behind the wet end and drips onto the motor — a classic seal failure.
Hums but won't spin
A dead start capacitor or a seized bearing stops the motor from turning over.
Worn bearings / screech
A grinding or screeching motor means the bearings are gone and the wet end is next.
Weak or no jets
A worn impeller or air-bound wet end stops the pump pushing rated flow.
Wet end, motor, or the complete pump
When the motor is sound but the pump leaks, we rebuild the wet end — new shaft seal, o-rings and impeller — which is the most economical fix. When the motor is the problem, we replace the capacitor or the whole motor. When both are tired or the housing is cracked, a complete Waterway pump is the lasting answer.
We match horsepower, frame size, voltage and union layout to what your tub was built for, so the new pump drops in and the jets feel right — no improvised plumbing.
Seal repair or pump replacement
We rebuild the wet end when the motor's good, or replace the pump when it isn't. Confirmed at your $69 diagnostic, credited to the repair.

Answers before you call
If the motor still runs strong, we rebuild the wet end — new shaft seal, o-rings and impeller — from $239. If the motor is dead or the housing is cracked, a complete pump replacement is the lasting fix, priced by horsepower.
Most Waterway pumps are stamped on the wet-end label and the motor. Send us a photo of the pump and its sticker and we'll confirm the model, horsepower and union size before we come out.
Often not. A humming pump that won't turn is usually a failed start capacitor — an inexpensive part — or a seized bearing. We test the motor before quoting a full replacement.
Usually yes. Waterway's sizing is so standardized that we stock the common Executive and Hi-Flo configurations and finish most jobs the same day across Palm Beach County.
